Day 1- Ideas for Newspaper Name (Group 2)
Our group thought it best to stick with a music/rockstar type theme in order to represent the camp and also because it allows for interesting graphics and section titles. We came up with three main ideas for the flag: The Speaker Box (credit to Betty), The Beat, and The Amplifier (our favorite). The Amplifier relates to the music/rockstar theme of the camp without being too explicit, and it also works well as a newspaper title because it shows how we will take stories that our readers may have heard something about but may not know the full story. We'll give them the full story of a given topic, "amplifying" what they may know about it. We also came up with several ideas for section names for sports, news, etc. I won't list ALL of them, but some the examples are Sold Out for the Economy section, Showtime for Sports, and The Beat for Editorial stories. There are several options for graphics and fonts, but we liked blackmoor (I'm pretty sure that's it) for the flag font.

I think this concept of still incorporating music in the newspaper title will work really well. I like the different section titles too because they go really well with the Flag ideas!
